Trip Itinerary
Soft Adventure journey in an open boat. Five day Trips leave every Monday, during the months of July and August. In July
there are opportunities to experience Sea Trout fishing along the way.

We will pick you up at your B&B or Hotel for a 8:30 meeting at the Kayak Shack. We will be packed and on the water by
11am for our adventure.

In the five days we will journey from Cartwright to Eagle River to Indian Tickle by open boat in seas where Aboriginal people
paddled and sailed for thousands of years as they traded along the North American Coast. We will visit the Wonderstrand
written about in the Viking Sagas, Packs Harbour and Indian Tickle where there was once a great summer fishery, see the
ruins of the site of the Whaling station at Grady and camp each night along the shore lines where archaeological exploration is
uncovering artifacts that were left there by our ancestors up to 4000 years ago. At Cartwright Island you will see the remnants
of a rock house that may have been built by the European visitors or have been there for thousands of years and built by the
Aboriginal People.
Mullins Cove, Table Bay 2005
Follow the journey of the early settlers from their winter homes to
their summer homes.
Walk where the Vikings walked as they explored North America
before 1000 AD. Visit where our ancestors camped and traded
for over 4000 years.
Enjoy nature in one of Canada's last frontiers. Travel a route where yours hosts ancestors travelled for over 4000 years.

Experience in a five days some of the mystery of the Big Land as you travel over the water in an open boat, hike the shores
and the headlands and listen to the stories of the people.

Spend your nights in a tent on remote islands in the Labrador Sea, eat traditional food prepared for you over open fire in a
traditional setting.

No experience necessary, we provide all you will need except for your personal belongings.

Embrace the culture of the Labrador People in this harsh but beautiful land, "The Big Land".
